Today's sermon was titled, "Take A Break" and was based on Exodus 20:8-11. Here are a few points from the message to think about.
1. Within the Ten Commandments God calls us to observe the Sabbath, a day that is more than just about not working. (Exodus 20:8-11)
2. The Sabbath isn’t intended to be another burden on our busy lives but a celebration for us to enjoy where we remember all that God has done. (Deuteronomy 5:15)
3. With the Sabbath we should set aside time to worship God and immerse ourselves in Him so that we can be renewed (Romans 12:1-2) and to take time away from our busy schedules to relax and be reenergized. (Luke 12:25-28)
