Last Sunday's sermon was titled, "Remember" and was based on Exodus 13:3-10. Here are a few take aways from the message.
1. God, through Moses, commanded His Chosen People to celebrate the Feast of Passover to remind them that He had set them free. (Exodus 13:3-10)
2. Jesus took the Passover meal, both the bread and cup, and gave it new meaning, tying it to His sacrifice on the cross, which we now remember and celebrate when we take part in communion. (Matthew 26:26-28)
3. The act of communion itself does not save us but celebrating it in a worthy manner can draw us closer to Christ as we focus on Jesus and remember all that He has done for us.
