Today's sermon was titled, "A Father's Love" and was based on Luke 15:11-32 which is the Parable of the Lost Son. Here are a couple of take away points from the sermon.
1. In the Parable of the Lost Son both the Prodigal Son and his older brother didn’t fully grasp their father’s love for them. The Prodigal Son who messed up thought his father’s love had limits while the older son, who was hard working thought he needed to work hard to earn his father’s affirmation. (Luke 15:11-32)
2. It’s impossible for us to fully grasp our Heavenly Father’s love for us but know this God’s love isn’t dependent on us getting everything right nor can we earn God’s love for God loves us fully and completely no matter what we do.
